Today was already our last day in Dubai and the weather was good, like in summer. Here everything is big, tall; the buildings, hotels, shopping centers, parks, etc.
Yesterday we visited the Burj al Arab (7 stars hotel, but unfortunately only from outside, it's just open for guests...), the Palm (artificial palm island), some shopping centers (as big as small towns, with indoor skiing, ice rink, aquarium, souk, enormous food courts, and so on) and the Burj Khalifa (ex Burj Dubai), the world's highest building! Unfortunately we couldn't go up to the view platform, because the tickets were yesterday already sold out until Friday and we won't be here any more. Finally we saw here a light and sound water spectacle in a small artificial lake, also this one is the biggest one of the world with the highest water fountains... We could see and hear 5 different shows.
Today we were in a big park where we had a nice view towards the skyline of Dubai. Later on we went by bus around to see a bit more. Already tomorrow we are continuing to Hong Kong, we will see what's going on in this Chinese city concerning the architecture.
The food is good, you can find everything here; Mexican, Japanese, Indian, Greek, etc. It already starts with our breakfast in the hotel which is Indian, like the majority of the guests. The most things are a bit spicy which Laura doesn't like very much, but for me it's perfect and Fredi is neutral.
Bé, avui ha sigut l'últim dia a Dubai el temps ha sigut de plé estiu. Aqui tooot es a lo gran, edificis parcs, tot està com augmentat, són molt bésties. Ahir vam visitar el Burj Al Arab,(hotel de 7 estrelle ) per desgràcia no sóm gent important i no ens van deixar entrar, jejeje...La illa de la palmera, uns centres comercials que mes aviat són com petites ciutats (amb pistes de patinatge sobre gel, d'esquí, acuaris, souks, etc...) i el Burj Dubai Khalifa, l'edifici més alt del món al cual no hem pogut pujar perqùe no hi havia tikets disponibles fins divendres, i ja no estarém aqui. Finalment vam veure l'espectacle de llums i colors (també diuen, el més gran del món, tot lo més gran...) de la font del llac artificial del Burj Khalifa. Vam veure fins a 5 cançons diferents!! Avui hem anat a un parc per pasejar una estona i veure la vista de l'sky line de Dubai i hem fet la resta del passeig amb bus, per veure una mica més.
Respecte el menjar, aqui pots trobar en general de tot si vas a un centre comercial, fora dels centres la majoría pica perqueé són locals indis o asiàtics. L'hotel on estem és indi, aixi que els esmorzars us els podeu imaginar. Per al Simon ja li està perfecte, peró per a mi no és tan agraït el tema, el Fredi, com a bon company es neutral... demá anirem a Hong Kong!
Heute war schon der letzte Tag in Dubai und das Wetter war sehr gut, sommerlich. Hier ist alles gross; die Hochhäuser, Hotels, Shoppingcenters, Parks, etc.
Gestern besuchten wir den Burj al Arab (7 Sterne Hotel, leider nur von aussen, da nur Gäste reinkommen...), die Palmeninsel, einige Shopping Centers (so gross wie kleine Städte, mit Skipiste, Eisbahn, Aquarium, Souk, risiegen Food Courts, usw.) und den Burj Khalifa (ehemals Burj Dubai), das höchste Gebäude der Welt! Leider konnten wir nicht auf die Aussichtsplattform, denn die Tickets waren gestern schon bis Freitag ausverkauft und dann wären wir schon nicht mehr hier. Schlussendlich sahen wir hier in einem kleinen künstlichen See ein Wasserschauspiel mit Licht und Musik, seines Zeichens sind auch das die grössten Wasserfontänen der Welt... Wir sahen und hörten 5 verschiedene Musikstücke!
Heute waren wir in einem grossen Park von dem wir eine schöne Aussicht auf die Skyline von Dubai geniessen konnten. Danach fuhren wir mit dem Bus durch die Stadt um so noch etwas mehr zu sehen. Morgen geht es nun bereits weiter nach Hong Kong, mal schauen was bei den Chinesen so abgeht bezüglich Architektur.
Das Essen ist gut, man kann hier alles haben, von mexikanisch über japanisch, indisch bis griechisch. Es fängt jeweils bereits mit dem Frühstück im Hotel an, das ist indisch, wie auch die meisten seiner Gäste. Das meiste ist relativ gut gewürzt, was Laura nicht unbedingt so gut gefällt, aber dafür mir umso besser und Fredi ist neutral diesbezüglich.
